The FDA has approved the higher-dose formulations of Diovan HCT (valsartan/hydrochlorothiazide) for patients with high blood pressure. The medication is a combination of Diovan (valsartan), an angiotensin receptor blocker, and the diuretic hydrochlorothiazide, and is now available in 320-mg/12.5-mg and 320-mg/25-mg tablets.
